Located 40 miles northeast of downtown Cincinnati, Waynesville is a small town to visit in Ohio that offers a collection of both the expected and the wonderfully unexpected. FIVE Things To Do In Waynesville That Are Worth Your Time!
1
People, Fox Hollow Rodeo is the real deal! Admittedly, I say that with zero prior experience with rodeos, but for a first-timer, I couldn’t have been more excited! Not only does this rodeo offer the expected rodeo experiences of semi-pro bull riding and barrel racing, but the MC fully engages the crowd, including the kids, for the entire program. And to end it all, I saw the biggest line dance I’ve ever seen, everyone invited to participate, right in the middle of the
arena. All this for a small admission price and right here in Waynesville, just a little small town to visit Ohio! Who knew? The rodeo runs year-round on Saturday evenings, with outdoor and indoor facilities.

The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival is held every year in Waynesville, Ohio on the second full weekend of October. Even if you’re not a sauerkraut lover, this festival offers plenty of other food options as well as over 400 craft vendors. If you are a sauerkraut lover, I hear the sauerkraut pizza is something you have to try! A few notes regarding the festival, the festival vendors do not serve alcohol, although there are businesses in town where you can get a frosty one if you’d like
one. Also, there is shuttled parking available for the festival, please check out the website link under FAQs for more information.

The Ohio Renaissance Festival happens every late summer / early fall in a 16th-century replica village off Ohio 73 in Waynesville, Ohio. If knights and queens interest you, this family-friendly festival is a must-do! From jousting exhibitions to turkey legs, this festival will truly be a memorable experience. The festival features over 100 shows daily, artisans, food and drink (including beer), and some very special events you can partake in for an additional charge. I’ve heard
it described as the Disney Land of the Renaissance, be sure to check it out!

Waynesville, Ohio is affectionately known as the “Antiques Capital of the Midwest.” If antiquing is your jam, or you’re just curious, or you simply like checking out cool little shops, Waynesville, Ohio is a stop that should be on your list. Loaded with unique shops, you could spend a day or more simply browsing and/or buying from the antique mall on Main Street, or one of the many other shops in this small town. Personally, I was completely charmed by Village Salvage,
a store filled with Amish-made furniture and reclaimed wood items.
