Hey There!
I grew up traveling a lot with my family and the craving for the new, the different, and the exciting has never left me. After spending a good number of years in a business career sitting behind a desk every day, I decided it was time to ditch the desk, explore the backroads, and share with you all my great finds and the places I think you’ll love to see.
The most common question I get from a person before they visit my travel blog is, “Why visit and blog about small towns?” The simplest answer is that small towns can be amazing and you never know what you’re missing until someone tells you it’s there!
In my blog posts, I introduce you to great small (or small-ish) towns that are unforgettable, affordable, and easy to get to. And while I’m at it, I’ll give you some tips and information about the town to help you make the most of your visits.
There are some important facts that I want you to know regarding the towns I blog about:
I’m honest in my blog. I don’t just blog about a town to add to my total post count, and I don’t blog about every town I visit. They have to be worth your time and worth your dime!
I won’t blog about a town if I won’t send my family or best friends there, the towns have to be WORTH IT!
I have pretty high standards for a town that I’m going to blog about; but to be clear, I also very much appreciate the importance of the weird, the awkward, the abnormal, the goofy, the silly, and the underappreciated.
Also, please keep in mind that these towns are filled with small businesses that benefit greatly from the support of weekend travelers like you and me, another reason to visit and share!
If you’re looking to travel in a specific area of the country, be sure to use the drop-down menu on my BLOG to help you filter your destinations.
Typically the towns I include are close to larger cities or tourist destinations, so be sure to add someplace new, unexpected, and unique to your weekends and vacations!
I can’t wait to show you more!
